I do most of my work in C, though I've been known to work with PHP in the past. I've dabbled in other languages as well, such as x86 and AVR assembly, and various Lisps. My major solo projects have included a chess-playing program, a simple operating system, and a somewhat sophisticated PHP/MySQL content management system, similar to PHP-Nuke. I've also worked with Robert and wossname on a virtual machine. Currently, I'm working on a simple Lisp environment.
