I've been searching for a programming group about my age and abilities for some time. Finally found this place, and I'm hoping to stay. It's late right now, so I'll add more content to this page later.
Out of curiosity, what do you mean? This group is not meant to be constrained by age or ability level in any way. "Hobbyist" does not imply lack of ability, nor does it even imply that a member hasn't been coding professionally for 20 years, for instance. -- AdamChlipala
I suppose I assumed a bit too much when I made that statement. When I was searching google I found the organization that this group evolved from -- Tean Programmers Unite. That group was gone though and had become this new one. I assumed which I guess I shouldn't have, that all the former programmers from the previous group had come to the new one and that I would be welcome to participate here. So that's where my statement came from. I'm sorry for my stereotyping remarks. -- StephenNielson
